Forsyth Park is a large city park that occupies 30 acres in the historic district of Savannah, Georgia. It contains walking paths, a children’s play area, tennis courts, basketball courts, and a large fountain, all as shown below in pictures. The park was anticipated by the famous Confederate General James Oglethorpe’s plan and was made possible by a donation of 20 acres of land by John Forsyth, former Governor of Georgia. The fountain and others areas of the park has been used in Movies such as; The “Longest Yard”, “Cape Fear”, and the famous “Forrest Gump”. In fact, Forrest Gump was caught sitting on the bench!
