Gallery 7: Notre Dame Cathedral – Paris, France

Notre Dame is a medieval Catholic cathedral that was consecrated to the Virgin Mary and considered to be one of the finest examples of French Gothic architecture. Its pioneering use of the rib vault and flying buttress, its enormous and colorful rose windows, along with the naturalism and abundance of its sculptural decoration sets it apart from earlier Romanesque style. These pictures were taken years prior to the fire that occurred on April 15, 2019.
